If possible, use the version of the board that includes all devices (the superset) as the base board. Begin the board development process with this board. Add the other boards that include a subset of devices as versions of the base board.
Sometimes, no single version of the board includes all devices. Figure 2 shows an example. In this case, it is recommended that you start with an imaginary base board that includes U16, U17, and U18.
You can add or delete versions as new configurations or ECOs are applied. You might need to extract a version from a base board to a separate directory.
